Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How big can I make my fence?
A: We recommend that your posts be no more than two (2) ft. apart and 2.1 ft. high. Most areas are under council regulations that restrict the height of fences, particularly at the front and rear of a house. Remember that posts will need to be fixed approximately one third of their height into the ground.
Q: If I don’t want to see posts, is there an option for a picket style fence?
A: Absolutely! We offer a self-mating slat system that can face fix to any frame. Please review our installation guide for more details. We are sure you will love the look.
Q: Is this product hurricane rated?
A: We offer a specific design that is certified for usage in high-wind locations. Please review our installation guide for more details.
Q: What kind of screws will I need to use?
A: We recommend Zinc coated fasteners to prevent any issues between the two metals. If saltwater corrosion is a concern, stainless steel fasteners may be used. We do not recommend galvanised fasteners for use as they can cause degradation of the aluminum.
Q: How do I clean and maintain my product?
A: If your Knotwood product needs cleaning, please use a mild, PH neutral detergent and warm water to wash your structure.

Our gate system uses the same hidden fastening channel as the fence and screen systems, which allows for the ultimate flexibility for your designs.
